Elisabeth Hobbes  Redeeming the Rogue Knight

This is the second book that I have read of Elisabeth's, and she promised me that I would like this book more than the The Saxon's Outlaw Revenge, for a introduction to Medieval romances it was a bit gory.  Well not only do I like this book I love it, and can't wait to read more.

I'm not going to do my normal blog on a book, because if I do then they would be a lot off spoilers.

The characters are wonderful, Lucy is strong well she has to be being a single mother to a little boy, and Roger who has his own troubles but finds he likes being with Lucy and her son.  They have their own conflicts with each other, and at the end have there own happy ending.

I will give this book 5/5 stars and I can highly recommend this book.  Also Elisabeth you have given me such joy in reading this book.

I was given this ARC by the author for a honest review.

This book is released on 1st August and available to buy at Amazon.co.uk

Nicole Locke  The Knight's Scarred Maiden

This the first book that I have read of Nicole's and it won't be the last, I loved reading every second of this book.

I can highly recommend this book.  I won't reveal too much but will say a little on the characters.

Helissent was eight when she scarred by a fire, when she was trying to save her four year old sister Aimee, but all of Helissent's family perished in the fire and Helissent was left scarred on the entire right side of her body.  From here Helissent was healed by Agnes for a year and then John and Anne brought Helissent up at their Inn, and then she looked after them before they died.  The inn was then run by the owners son Rudd, (you will know more about him in the book).

Helissent has always thought she was a coward.  But from I have read she is anything but, she is strong, brave and courageous, also I would love to try the honey cakes.  Its through these honey cakes that she meets Rhain.

Rhain has been a mercenary for five years, he had set out to find his father, he carries a sampler with a design and is trying to find the pendant for the necklace that he also has.  Rhain grew up with his older brother Teague and his parents William, Lord of Gwalchdu and his wife Ellen.  (From here I don't want to spoil what happens it might spoil the story).

I found Rhain that on the outside he didn't want to get close to people and that included his friend Nicholas, but on the inside he had a good heart and he wanted to protect Helissent not just from himself but from other people.  He also thought Helissent was brave and courageous for trying to help her little sister.  He is also on the run from Reynold who is after Rhain for killing his brother Guy.  (I won't go into detail over this you will find out in the book).

I would give this book 5/5 stars.  A must read.

I received this ARC for a honest review.

Emily Forbes  Falling For The Single Dad (Hollywood Hills Clinic, Book 2)

I don't normally like medical romance books, but this one drew me in from the first chapter and loved it more as I continued reading.

Abi Thompson has a lot of trust issues and this goes back to her childhood were her mother became a alcoholic after Abi's father left when she was a baby, while she growing up Abi had to look after herself and at seventeen she joined the army and trained in the medical school and she is a specialist in plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

These skills became more viable when she was in Afghanistan and was helping other soldiers.  While in Afghanistan she meets Mark Farrington her Commanding Officer (you will find out that Mark was hiding a secret), and after a bomb goes off Abi tries to save Mark but unfortunately he dies and from this Abi has problems with anxiety and confidence and she is given a assistance dog called Jonty.

Damien Moore is a divorced father to a five year old little girl called Summer, he works at the Hollywood Hills Clinic.  The clinic is run by Freya and her brother James Rothsberg.  Damien is a surgeon who does plastic and reconstructive surgery on the Hollywood elite.

Damien also has problems with trust and this is because of his ex-wife Brooke a wannabe actress (you will find she puts her plans first and expects everybody to fall in with those plans).  She also tries to ruin the relationship with Damien and Abi.

I liked this book because it was different from all medical romances I have read in the past it forecast on the relationship of the characters, rather than medical terms, also in certain parts of the book it made cry and a little chuckle.

I would recommend this book and would give it 4/5

Lynne Marshall   Hot-Shot Doc, Secret Dad

I received this book from Netgalley for Mills and Boon Insiders.

This is the first book that I have been unable to finish, normally I know after the first chapter if I can finish a book, but this time the book started great then after chapter 2 for me I was loosing the connection with the characters, I don't know if that was because of the writing or because it was a medical romance.

Julie Sterling is a single mother to a son James who is 12 nearly 13, who returns to Cattleman Bluff, Wyoming after 13 years, her parents have recently died in a accident.  Julie is back because her son is in military school after getting in a bad group at his previous school in LA.

Julie was 18 when she found out she was pregnant after a one night stand, much to her parent's dismay (mainly her mother), who had Julie's education mapped out.  Julie goes to live with her Aunt Janet who helps Julie look after James, while Julie studied to be a Nurse Practitioner.

Trevor Montgomery is a doctor, and comes from a moneyed background, he only met Julie the once at a party.  Julie is at his practice having a interview with Trevor when he recognises her and it's after the interview that she says something that he didn't know anything about.

This is most of what I have read and hopefully you get that the story is about Julie and wanting the best for her son, while falling in love.

I'm not sure of the star rating for this but based on what I've read I will give it 3.5/5  I hope that's not too mean.

Mills and Boon American Romance

Roxann Delaney  Bachelor Dad

This is the first book that I have read of Roxann's and it definitely won't be the last.  From the moment I started reading this book I knew I would like it, it made laugh, cry and angry in certain places.

I won't be going into too much detail because that would spoil the book so I will give a brief outline of the characters.

Garrett Miles is a attorney and lives is in Desperation, his sister Paige is engaged to Tucker who works for the police departement. Until one day when Garrett was having lunch at Lou's he receives a phone call from Tootie Fredricks (that is such a great name), the city administrator to say he has a package waiting in his office.  The package turns out to be a four year old little girl named Sophie who Sophie's mother left her there with a note for Garrett and also Sophie isn't talking.

Libby Carter and her nine year old son Noah also live in Desperation Libby works as a waitress in Lou's, she and Garrett are often talking and Libby looks forward to seeing Garrett when he goes in for his coffee.  From here I can't reveal to much but that Libby and Noah are on the run and her ex husband Eric Cabrera.  Noah and Sophie become very close friends.

I would highly recommend this book, I will definitely be reading more of Roxann's books.

I give this book 5/5 stars

Mills and Boon Medical

Annie Claydon  Saved By The Single Dad

This is the first book that I have read of Annie's.  This book was heart warming and that even when you've have had some rough times romance will always win.

Jack Halliday is a single dad to his four year old daughter Ellie, when he isn't looking after her, he works as a paramedic.

Jack has had a lot to deal with his father died when he was twelve and Ellie's mum died in very unfortunate circumstances.  But through all this Jack comes across as very warm and caring and utterly adores Ellie and I would love to have Jack as friend.

Cassandra Clarke or Cass as she is always called (apart from Ellie), is a fire fighter, but there is one thing that she would dearly love to have and that's a family of her own, her partner left her because she couldn't get pregnant.  I also would like Cass as friend as well.

Cassandra and Jack meet for the first time when the village were Cass lives is flooded and Jack and his work partner Mimi get into difficulties and Cass helps Jack to safety.  We find out that Cass's sister is in the final stages of her pregnancy and is very stubborn over that she is not in labour and refuses to go the hospital.  (lets just say Jack and Cass has a role to play over this).  I won't reveal anymore but look out for Miss Palmer and Martin the vicar.

All in all I loved the book and I would read Annie's books again and I can highly recommend this book.

I received this book for a honest review.

Jenni Fletcher   The Convenient Felstone Marriage

This is the first book that I have read of Jenni's and it won't be the last.  This book me laugh and cry and I couldn't stop reading from the moment I picked it up.

Ianthe and Robert are both looking at uncertain futures until Robert devises a plan that could help both of them.

Ianthe is a governess who has had to leave her post because of a scandal that involved the family's oldest son.  Since then she has been dressing in unrelenting black and dark grey and trying to make herself as dowdy as possible.

Robert wants to get into polite society and to expand his ship building yard and to do that he wants to buy Mr Harper's business, and Robert thinks that by getting married it will help him get the business.  Unfortunately for Robert the lady he proposed to Louisa Allendon turned him down because he wasn't good enough for her.

Percy is Ianthe's brother and he has got some gambling debts and is very easily lead and is also friends with Charles Lester (he knew Percy's and Ianthe's late mother), and is also very creepy and takes a rather uncommon interest in Ianthe.

I can't reveal anymore because they would be too many spoilers.

I loved every minute of this book and would highly recommend it.

I would give the 5/5 stars

I received this book as a ARC in exchange for an honest review.
